I have some tools of the trade most people don’t think of as writer’s tools, but when I sit at a computer for extended periods of time, I find I need some things to keep my butt in the seat. That usually means comfort items. So here’s a list of some unconventional tools of mine: A footstool – I use a footstool to elevate my feet when I sit at my desk. A few weeks ago, my friend J.P. Barnaby shared this cartoon with me on Facebook and tagged me in it. Yes, I’m that blonde lady wanting her manuscript back for just one more read through. It’s sort of an illness, I think. 😉 Perhaps not an illness, but it sure does slow down my submission speed, and all because I think that one more tweak of a word or phrase will solve everything. Sometimes that’s true. I’ve improved some stories on that last read through or I’ve found a tiny plot hole I didn’t see before. I recently got a review that mentioned how Fall Into You’s blurb didn’t say anything about there being medical problems that the characters encountered and that if it had, the reader would’ve picked the book up sooner because she really likes to read about those themes. I didn’t mention the medical issues in the blurb because I didn’t want to ruin that bit in the story. In fact, there were many things I left out of the blurb that maybe should’ve been put in. I’m a fast writer. My brain goes so quickly that pen and paper doesn’t work well at all, so I’m eternally grateful for the computer. This natural tendency is a blessing while writing a new novel, especially for something like NaNoWriMo. While I have my story fairly well planned out ahead of time, I can’t get too detailed or I find I can’t write as well. The curse is that I end up with a lot of mistakes and occasionally forget to put in some details that I intended but ended up chasing another scene and am remiss about leaving myself a note. That eventually all needs to be cleaned…
[Hugo] could have walked away. He could have simplified his life, focused on himself and his career, and saved a ton of awkwardness, heartache, and strain. But he quickly becomes my favorite character because he does not… I’ve got tears on the edge of my eyelashes as I type that comment, but it is so true.
Just like the first story, I could picture myself right there in the rainbow bus on the road with Jude and Hudson.
Beck’s grieving process was pretty much spot on […] and the realism in Robert’s writing really impressed me.
You know that warm, tingly feeling you get when Christmas is near? You feel so light and there’s something different in the air you breathe? Well, this short story felt exactly like that for me.
These guys have great chemistry and make a wonderful couple.
Their sexual chemistry pops and sizzles…
…feelings of hope and of loss and so much uncertainty, but they do eventually find their way.
It’s a lovely uplifting short story, with realistic main characters who gained my sympathy and affection. Ethan’s family members are super too.
This series is fantastic, and I fell head over heels for these characters – Hugo especially.
Full of feelings and emotional scenes and characters that will stay with you for a long time.

This book was a really good read full of free love and hot sex. I honestly can’t say that I have ever read a book like it before and now I cannot wait to read the next in the series!
I have to say that Momo: My Everything is my favorite (so far) and the one I do consider the author at her best. I’m giving this novella five stars.
A beautiful, deeply moving tale of people joining together to help ease the pain of ravaging life events. In doing so, they break the traditional views of what constitutes a “family” and become shining examples of love and acceptance. I highly recommend both books in the North Star series, and I look forward to reading the next installment with great anticipation!
This book is about one of the greatest losses that we may encounter. The loss of ourselves, of our identity, but it is also a book about hope and second chances. It is a book full of hope and optimism. Read it because it’s worth it.
…this is a story about two people two needed each other building a life together through their ups and downs. It was tender and softly emotional rather than being a wild ride.
I just adored this book. I really liked the characters, I found them so believable and loved watching their relationship develop. It’s not a long book, but it packs a heck of a punch. I highly recommend!
I highly recommend this story to fans of quiet, stoic men with poetic hearts and lovers of stories with happy endings.
They give a full picture of the history, with a ton of sweet moments and even a bit of heartache and angst, but explain the connection between the men. This allowed me to really feel as if I knew them, and made me cheer for them to find their way to a life together, despite the many obstacles they have to face.
One of the things that really got to me about this book is that it doesn’t glamourize homelessness. Nor does it gloss it over. We get what I think is a realistic look at homelessness, especially when it comes to being a single, gay man.
…this story is so beautifully written, with such amazing characters, that it is hard to put down!
This book is fabulous. The characters are fantastic. The storytelling is sublime. There isn’t anything about it that’s too much, or too little. It’s just…wonderful.
I highly recommend reading all the books in the series, and I applaud Posy Roberts again for creating these subtle stories full of interesting, lovable characters and authentic, relatable life events.
You will laugh, you will cry and you will feel every emotion that these characters feel and you will come on the other side all the better for it!!
Please do yourself a favor and dive into this series immediately, as the journey is emotional, riveting and awe-inspiring.
Analog to Digital is a guaranteed smile-inducing holiday read.
William and Nate – opposites attract is the perfect saying in this case. William relaxes his strict lines between his work and personal persona’s as he spends more time with Nate (Momo) allowing the relationship to blossom and deepen.
I’m in love with this series, these characters, and will miss all their adventures together. This whole series is a very worthwhile read, and a welcome addition to my permanent collection shelf!
This was a book about living. Posy has a knack of writing rip your heart out stories. She mends them and put them back, don’t worry. But getting through this book with dry eyes is not possible! Beautiful, angsty book!
Feathers From the Sky is a fabulous story of love and acceptance. It’s a short and sweet, heartwarming and feel-good Christmas read.
A sweet story with some very romantic moments that are also smoking hot.
The author captures the feel of a noisy, active family, close-knit and loving, all up against each other for the holiday get-together.
I’ve been waiting for this book since I read Fusion. It was worth the wait!!
The writing is brilliant, as is the plot, and the characters just jump off the page and straight into your heart!
It is a really cute little story that will rock your world. I always did love surprises and little twists to my stories. Posy worked it perfectly and I can say that this was one of my favorite Christmas stories to date.
If you’re looking for something deeper, something special and something truly passionate…grab this book!
I wanted to live in their world because through all the bad, they persevered and found the good, and it really is a series about the power of love. Outstanding series! One of the best by far.

This book was not what I expected at all, in the best possible way. I feared a book filled with angst and despair but got a story about determination and hope.
Feathers From The Sky is a great holiday short story. The love in that small house with so many people crammed inside was obvious.
This story is like taking a refreshing breath. It was beautifully written with very well liked characters. Bringing back the commune era, it brings us to what is happening with our planet right at this day and age, […] It brings back the long lost idea of Peace, Love, and Freedom. Totally refreshing!
Posy Roberts always effortlessly draws me into her stories. Her characters tend to be charming and fascinating, her descriptions are vivid and the dialogue sparkles. And when it comes to the sexy times…hot barely covers it.
This is not your usual romantic story. It goes way beyond that. I had the impression I was there, in the book, living in alongside Gil and Keith. They felt so real, their story felt real and I’m sure that, for someone out there, this is not a story at all.
Fall Into You has put Posy Roberts on my list of authors to watch for. Not only did she tell a story that was sexy and dramatic and romantic, but it was also touching and immensely readable.
Cas and Marc’s chemistry is electric. If you are a reader who is a fan of hot man-on-man action, Stroke of Luck is worth reading just for the window scene!

A very charming feel-good love story about finding your true self and getting a second chance at love.
Posy creates two simple, real, down-to-earth men who need each other more than they realize, and the relationship between them is really fantastic.

Farm Fresh is gorgeous, and the emotional impact will leave you gasping and aching for more.
I love how the characters in this trilogy have evolved over the span of two novels.

The characters are very complex, and the family dynamic is so rich and fantastic. Feathers From The Sky is a gem; a really lovely holiday story.
We need more books like this. Ones that show body and sex-positive people in a way that will make you rethink any preconceived notions you might have.
Flare is the perfect ending to Posy Roberts’ North Star Trilogy, as it will leave you enchanted with the way things wrap up in the end. I am thrilled that Posy re-released this series!
A great example to show that just because a character isn’t perfect, doesn’t mean they can’t find love and acceptance.
Sweet, enjoyable, hot and pleasurable. This was a lovely Sunday morning read.
I really loved this book and it gave me all the warm feels that I wanted. Louis and Sebastian are sweet and sexy together and the story has a really nice message without being saccharin. I am so glad I picked up this story and can definitely recommend it.

Picked Fresh is a tremendously gratifying story that shows extensive character growth and development, giving us a much deeper look into not just Hudson and Jude
Fusion brings us into the building stage of the relationship and as in real life, this is not always smooth and definitely not always easy. […] I enjoy the way the author gives voice to her characters, allows us to travel along with them as their lives change and experience their great joys as well as heartaches.
I loved this story, how transparent the characters were, and how real the tent city became for me. I recommend this to anyone who could use a smile and perhaps some inspiration of their own.
It’s hot, cute and actually quite romantic, as what starts out as just a sex lead thong-a-thon between these two hot guys, turns out, over time, to be quite a sweet romance that ends with a pantytastic HEA.
Set aside some time to read this because it will suck you in and you won’t be able to put it down. Posy Roberts will take you on a spectacular journey of love and discovery.
