I’ll be wrapping up this busy season by releasing my 3rd book this summer. Bent Arrow will be coming your way September 3rd. Here is the blurb and the cover!
Sometimes curves in the road take you right where you belong.
Luther Almond’s life working the Bakken oil field is perfect—short-lived jobs, temporary housing, and easy hookups. That’s one reason he won’t move home when he inherits the lake house. When Erik Heat bends over to fix Luther’s pipes, his tattoos hint he might be up for more than working on the drain. The last thing Luther expects is to want more from this guy than one night.
Every time they’re together, Luther is more grounded and Erik more confident. When the lake house demands attention, Luther asks for Erik’s help. There he imagines a more permanent life, one where he stops running. But he wants Erik by his side. Can he find the courage—and the words—to ask?
There is so much happening, and I’ve been too busy to blog. Now that things are getting nailed down, I can share.
- I’m now editing for cash. I’ve already taken on a few freelance projects and I’m also working with a publisher.
- The edits for my next release (I think) should be in my hands next week. I will need to work my butt off to get those done, the book formatted, and finally released by the end of the month.
- Yes, I’ve decided to take a stab at self-publishing for a project here and there. I opened up a new website for that too. Take a little crawl over to Labyrinth Bound Press.
- Which, brings me to the new writing co-op I’m part of. Blanket Fort Press is made up several MM Romance authors who have decided to come together to write some erotic short stories. Check out the website and come like our Facebook Page too!
- Finally, I’ve been messing around with new branding. I love the original stuff, but I get antsy and want to new things every so often. I may even try on a new website template if I get daring enough, but that could be a lot of work, so maybe not.
Hope to see you around really soon. I have 2 covers I’m dying to share with you as well as a blurb. Exciting times.
Now tell me, what do you think about the new branding? What does it say to you? And yes, it’s more red in the image above than on the website because of unyielding theme colors unless I shell out some cash. 🙂
This morning my calendar pinged to let me know my blog tour for Tangled Mind starts tomorrow. I was shocked. You see, I still think it’s November, which went by in the haze of National Novel Writing Month. I lost a month! So I have no Christmas shopping done, I haven’t written out a wish list for my family, and I just put the tree up Sunday night.
Starting tomorrow, I’m going to be visiting a ton of blogs Pride Promotions helped arrange. There are twenty-four stops on this 2 week tour, and I’ll be doing a daily post here to direct you to all the links. However, I wanted to give you a heads up about where I’ll be so you can follow along or find me when you have time.
Also, if you’d like to subscribe to my monthly newsletter, you can do that here.
My baby is about to be born. Ten days from now, Tangled Mind will be released, but you don’t have to wait.
I have preorder links from three stores for you, so on Christmas Eve, you can wake up to a new story waiting for your holiday reading enjoyment.
Isn’t that swell?
For years Beck Lund has taken care of his volatile boyfriend, Brady, always putting Brady’s needs above his own and walking on eggshells to keep the peace. After Brady overdoses on heroin, his death devastates Beck. Thankfully Beck’s best friend, Timothy Kallis, finds him the help he needs. Beck slowly starts to recover and moves in with Timothy to get back on his feet, but he’s oblivious that Timothy is secretly nursing romantic affection for him.
Beck focuses on his own healing for the first time in his life. After months of challenging his codependent tendencies and learning how to stand up for himself, Beck finally starts to trust his gut and hopes to one day love again. Timothy is patient throughout, taking care of Beck in ways no one ever has. But if Beck can’t recognize Timothy’s affection for him, it might be too late for them to move beyond friendship.

I attended my first event as an author among potential readers this last weekend along with Tina Blenke and Kaje Harper. Tina did an amazing job of setting all this up and organizing it and a reader friend and her husband helped with all the physical hauling.
Up until now, I’ve only gone to writing workshops where all the other attendees were also authors. I love those things, because those people just got it. Or me.
It was the same way at Pride. I got to talk to readers and potential readers about all sorts of things.
I sold some books. I talked to other M/M Romance lovers. I met an artist who I’d love to commission for a cover. I got to know Tina, Kaje, and a reader friend, Kathie even better. We also had two tweens helping us draw people in by asking if they’d like to spin a wheel to win a prize. We gave away a lot of stuff.
Next year, I hope I can join these same authors at Twin Cities Pride along with even more Minnesota authors.
“I wanted to live in their world because through all the bad, they persevered and found the good, and it really is a series about the power of love. Outstanding series! One of the best by far.”
