While I slept for the nearly two days, fighting fever and other unmentionables, Farm Fresh was named as a runner-up in the Rainbow Awards. I’d already learned of the Honorable Mentions, which thrilled me, so to have Farm Fresh named a runner-up in the Contemporary Gay Romance category blew my mind. It’s not a traditional romance, and I never expected it to be given a nod let alone get so far. When I learned of this through the cloud of my fever- and drug-stupor, I was beyond the moon. I now have three badges to post next to Farm Fresh, and more importantly, $14,000 were donated to LGBT charities.

Congratulations to all the Rainbow Award winners. Here is the full list. The Rainbow Awards have been handed out so you will probably be hearing a lot about them. Fusion was awarded Honorable Mention and was a runner-up in the Best Bisexual Romance category. It came in third after Josephine Myles, Stuff and Garrett Leigh’s, Slide. I thought I’d share the pretties.
I’ve had some stories nominated for the Goodreads M/M Romance Member’s Choice Awards. North Star – Spark, Fusion, & Flare were nominated for Favorite All-Time M/M Series. Flare was nominated for Best Family Drama. Forever Under a Rainbow got a nod for Best Love’s Landscape Story. If you’re a member of the M/M Romance group on Goodreads, nominations are being taken until November 22nd. This year there are going to be 2 rounds to vote for your choices. Round one will be Nov 28 – Dec 12. Round two will be Dec 13 – Dec 27.
Two years ago today I published my first novel, Fall Into You, and was able to tell people I was a published author. Wow! Simon Phillips always hated Thomas. Ever since his black nail polish high school days, Thomas Schultz has seemed like a carefree, uninhibited wild child, in stark contrast to Simon’s shy, cautious nature. Now, from behind the safety of his hotel bar, Simon must watch, distracted, as Thomas becomes a shirtless rock star for every wedding reception they work. But when Thomas slips him the key to his hotel room, Simon enters a world where the fine line between hate and attraction becomes blurred, and finds more…
I woke up this morning to the wonderful news that Fusion is a Rainbow Award Finalist in the Bisexual Romance category. I was already buzzing about when my friend, Tina Blenke, PMd me asking if I knew that Flare was also in Round 3 for Best Cover. Seriously? So, it’s been a pretty good morning, at least until I had to help the kid with her homework. 😉 To vote for best cover, click here. There are a lot of beautiful covers, but I’m still in love with what Anne Cain did for Flare. And please don’t mind me while I squeeeee.
I woke up to the best news! I’ve been nominated for Author of the Month at Mrs. Condit Reads! Fusion is the reason. There are a lot of great authors up there. So what are you waiting for? Go vote! 😀 And thanks!
Okay, so I got some great news today. Both Spark and Fusion were nominated for the Goodreads M/M Romance Group Member Choice Awards. Fusion was nominated for Best cover. And both Spark and Fusion were nominated for Best Performance Arts (Musicians/Dancers/Actors) (professions). Here is where you go to vote!
